“We will soon have developments on the possible arrival of low-budget airlines in Cyprus, such as EasyJet (ownership of Stelios Hadjiioannou) and the Irish Rynair”, CTO Chairman, Fotis Fotiou told StockWatch on Wednesday.
According to Mr. Fotiou, the Swedish budget airline Fly Me has also expressed its interest for cooperation with Cyprus. “Fly Me is interested in launching an itinerary from 2007”, Mr. Fotiou said, stressing that the Organization invited its representatives to visit Cyprus for further deliberations.
The arrival of foreign budget airlines in Cyprus is exceptionally significant, since it will contribute to the increase in tourist arrivals and will boost the tourist industry, offering low prices for all classes.
