According to Commerce Ministry’s comparative data released on Monday, the fuel prices should have been lower by 10 cents.

This is what Chairman of the Energy Service, Solon Kasinis, told the Parliament after the end of the session of the House European Affairs Committee, which reviewed Cyprus’s obligations to keep strategic fuel stock.

According to Mr. Kasinis, the price of diesel and heating oil are exceptionally high. “According to our own calculations, diesel prices should have been lower by 7 cents and those of heating oil by 9 cents”, he said.

“The oil prices should have been cheaper by 2 cents”, Mr. Kasinis concluded.
