First tourists from the UK, Germany, Belgium and Sweden crossed into the occupied territories of northern Cyprus on Tuesday to visit the archeological sites of Kyrenia.
According to T/C ‘Deputy Minister of Finance and Tourism’’, Yialsin Vehit, the number of tourists that visited the occupied areas through Ayios Dometios checkpoints is 88. They are expected to return to the free areas at 5 in the afternoon.
PASYXE Chairman, Haris Loizides told StockWatch that the government must investigate the issue and examine whether the transfer of the European tourists from the free areas to the occupied territories was carried out with buses registered in the Transport Department of the Republic.
