Cyprus Energy, Commerce and Industry Ministry is organizing on May 16-20 a business mission and a Forum in Almaty, Kazakstan, in cooperation with the Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Cyprus-Kazakstan Business Association.
According to a press release, Energy, Commerce and Industry Minister, George Papanastasiou, will head the business mission and will also participate in the 2nd EU-Central Asia Economic Forum.
As it is noted the business mission and the Forum are organized in the framework of efforts to promote Cyprus as an international business hub for services, to boost the extroversion of the Cypriot service providers, as well as to further develop bilateral economic and business relations between Cyprus and Kazakstan.
The Cyprus - Kazakstan Business Forum will take place on May 17, with a view to promote Cyprus' competitive advantages as an international business hub and highlight the opportunities for cooperation in fields with the most favourable prospects for ventures and for reinforcing cooperation with Kazakstan.
These fields are information and communication technologies, investment funds, business services and oil and natural gas, it is added.
Cypriot businesses that will take part in this mission will have the chance to present themselves during the Forum and attend a networking event that will follow aiming at expanding prospects of cooperation with businesses in Kazakstan.
