Chairman of the Investigation Committee, Yiannis Papadopoulos is expected to request the employment of three Economists-Academics on the meeting with the Finance Minister, Marcos Kyprianou on Friday afternoon. Following the withdrawal of three members from the Committee, its strengthening is deemed necessary, Mr. Papadopoulos told StockWatch.
The Investigation Committee considers that the re-employment of Mr. Kikis Paphitis is necessary, as “he is a capable person, the soul of the Investigation Committee”. His withdrawal was attributable to the fact that he did not belong to the staff of the Committee and his senior employees could not submit the annual evaluation report.
Mr. Papadopoulos expressed his disappointment on the statements of the Chairman of the House Finance Committee, Aristos Chrisostomou, that the Investigation Committee has not presented the findings of its investigation yet and noted that he plans to meet the Finance and Audit Committees to ascertain the investigation carried out.
