The European Commission decided yesterday to grant €20 million to Cyprus and Malta as part of a 5 billion euro investment in the EU’s energy, internet broadband infrastructure and Common Agricultural Policy (CAP).
As the CNA reports, Cyprus and Malta will be allocated the aforementioned sum for the implementation of local energy projects and they will participate in the EU funding for high-speed internet and CAP.
Meanwhile, the EC also recommended the granting of €1.75 million for gas and electricity interconnectors, €50 million for offshore wind projects and €1.25 million for carbon capture.
