Right-wing party DISY demanded on Wednesday the submission of all documents concerning the Council of Ministers’ decision on the transfer of natural gas in Cyprus to the House Audit Committee. In his letter to Commerce Minister, Antonis Michaelides, DISY Chairman, Nicos Anastasiades requested the submission of “all mail – including the emails – from 2/7/2003 to 6/6/2007 between G.N.F. Enterprises Ltd, SBM Holdings, Vasilikos LNG, Petronas and Gaz and France and the management of EAC and/or the competent Minister.
Mr. Anastasiades also demanded the submission of the memo of the Energy Director to the Commerce Minister on the proposal of GNF Enterprises Ltd for the use of floating storage unit, as well as the letter of the Malaysian Foreign Minister to the Commerce Ministry. The Malaysian Minister requested negotiations with “Petronas”.
Mr. Anastasiades also requested the submission of the letter of the Commerce Ministry Manager to EAC General Manager (dated 25/8/04) and the letter of EAC General Manager to the Commerce Ministry General Manager dated 14/9/04.
DISY Chairman requested the submission of “the minutes of the meeting of EAC Development Projects Committee, which was attended by the Commerce Ministry Energy Director and all the minutes of the meetings between the Board members of EAC and the President of the Republic and/or the Commerce Minister and/or the managerial staff of the Ministry”.
Mr. Anastasiades finally demanded the submission of all mails and emails between the EAC Board members and/or the managerial staff of the authority and the President of the Republic and the Commerce Minister from 25/8/04 to 6/6/07, as well as the “informative memo to the media of the IPO dated 24/11/05”.
