During a meeting yesterday of employees of the Cyprus Development Bank, members of bank employees' union ETYK, it was decided by a majority to accept two of the three decisions of the Board of the Bank. These include the publication of the agreement with the Piraeus Bank and transfer of 5% to employees, thus ending the 13-day strike with effect from today.
The union further requested a meeting with the Board of the Bank for further discussions on matters pertaining to the formulation of regulations and clarity on operations of the Bank. The sale of 37,8% of the Bank to the Piraeus Bank will also be examined during the House Labour Committee meeting today as well as the staffing structure.
