Deposits in the banking system of Cyprus stood at €51.5 billion at the end of February 2022, up €3.65 billion compared to February 2021.
According to data from the Central Bank of Cyprus (CBC), the loan balance at the end of December 2021 stood at €28.5 billion, recording a decrease of €3.01 billion.
According to the CBC, total deposits in February 2022 recorded a net increase of €278 million, compared to a net decrease of €341.8 million in January 2022.
The annual change rate reached 6.6%, compared to 5.8% in January 2022.
Total loans in February 2022 recorded a net increase of €45 million, compared to a net increase of €107.1 million in January 2022.
The annual change rate reached 2.2%, compared to 1.1% in January 2022, the CBC reported, while the total loans balance in February 2022 reached €28.5 billion.
