The declaration on air connectivity, electric mobility and issues of mutual concerns in the fields of transport and infrastructure were among the issues discussed during a meeting between the Cypriot Minister of Transport, Communication and Works Yiannis Karousos and his Greek counterpart Kostas Karamanlis held in Athens.
Karousos’ visited the Greek capital at the invitation of Karamanlis. The two Ministers discussed the wide range of issues concerning electric mobility and exchanged views on the two countries’ targets and the practises followed to achieve their targets.
According to an official press release, the two countries agreed to continue a close cooperation aiming to promote e-mobility both in Cyprus and Greece.
Furthermore, the two Ministers discussed the issue of a Declaration on air connectivity, promoted by Cyprus on the EU level and endorsed by other seven member-states, including Greece requesting that the EU temporary framework on air connectivity due to COVID should continue beyond 2021.
