The ratings agency DBRS Morningstar, which in 2023 was the first to lift Greece’s former junk bond status to investment grade, has raised its outlook from Stable to Positive while keeping it as BBB (low) as the economy grows.
The Canada-based rating firm said in a statement that the change in the outlook reflects its “expectations of further improvement in the banking system fundamentals,” which has sold off bad loans to collection agencies.
