The Cyprus Telecommunications Authority proceeded on Monday to the increase in the call rates from fixed phones to mobile phones in Cyprus, while increases also regard eight countries, including Greece. The rates in Cyprus are increased from 1.8 cents/minute to 2.8 cents/minute, while minimum rate remains at 2 cents. For Greece, telephone rates to mobile phones are increased by 4 cents/minute, while for the United Kingdom the rates are reduced by 1 cent/minute. The telephone rates to Russia are reduced by 15 cents/minute.

The increase in telephone rates falls within the framework of the readjustment of rates.
