The Cyprus Telecommunications Authority and the Syrian Telecommunications Establisment (STE) signed a number of bilateral agreements.
As the CNA reports, the two parties signed an agreement for the international cable capacity in Europe, a Memorandum of Understanding for the construction of submarine cable link between Cyprus and Syria, and an agreement for the revision of the international call rates between Cyta and STE.
According to a CYTA press release, “the agreements strengthen the traditional relations between the two organizations and reaffirm the strategic role of CYTA as major cable hub in the region”.
