During their meeting on Wednesday, CTO Chairman, Fotis Fotiou and the Ukrainian Ambassador, Borus Humeniuk examined the prospects of a bilateral cooperation and the way to develop tourism between the two countries.
According to a CTO announcement, Mr. Fotiou stressed the importance that the Ukrainian tourist market has for the Organization and referred to CTO’s acts for the promotion of Cyprus to Ukraine, such as the participation in tourist fairs and the regular contacts with the tour operators.
Mr. Fotiou also referred to the launch of an additional flight between Cyprus and Ukraine from May. “We are in a constant effort with the consuls in Ukraine to hasten the procedures for the visas. We do not exclude the possibility for the opening of consulate or a CTO office to the country”, the announcement reported.
Mr. Fotiou informed the Ukrainian Ambassador on the CTO Tourism Strategic and emphasized the importance of religion tourism, in which the Ukrainians are exceptionally interested.
