Within the framework of its accession negotiations with the European Union, Cyprus will close on Tuesday in Brussels half of the Agriculture Chapter and in specific the part of the chapter regarding veterinary and phytosanitary legislation.
According to a CNA report, Cyprus Chief Negotiator with the EU George Vassiliou, left on Monday for Brussels to attend the 18th Intergovernmental Conference Meeting for Cyprus' accession at negotiators' level. Vassiliou told the CNA that this is the first meeting that will take place during the EU Danish presidency and that there will be a general discussion on the enlargement issues and Cyprus' course "so that we will be able to accede by December."
