Two weekly flights between Kuwait and Larnaca are included in the winter flight schedule of Jazeera Airways, Kuwait's leading low-cost carrier, which enhances the connectivity of Cyprus with this country all year round, promoting tourism on the island both during the summer and winter season.
Kuwait's Ambassador to Cyprus, Abdullah Musaed Al-Kharafi, speaking at an event at Larnaca Airport, welcomed the launch of Jazeera Airways' winter schedule of direct flights between Kuwait and Cyprus. He also noted the importance of the flight programme in enhancing cooperation between the two countries in various fields.
In his address, the Permanent Secretary of the Deputy Ministry of Tourism, Costas Constantinou, said that today "is a milestone for the flight programme of the Kuwaiti airline to and from Cyprus". Constantinou said that this works towards the goal of continuously improving the connectivity of Cyprus, especially during the winter period.
Jazeera Airways CEO Barathan Pasupathi said that "by connecting Kuwait directly to Larnaca we are offering tourists from Kuwait the option to visit Cyprus in both summer and winter." He added that the flights will operate every Tuesday and Friday, providing travellers from Cyprus with direct access to Kuwait and Jazeera Airways' extensive network to easily connect to various destinations.
Hermes Airports' Aviation Development Marketing and Communications Manager Maria Kouroupi expressed her delight "to see Jazeera Airways expand its presence in Cyprus with flights throughout the year." She added that "this is in line with our aim to ensure year-round connectivity and support our efforts to attract visitors beyond the summer months."
