The CSE seems to advance towards stabilization, as for the forth successive session the CSE general index closed at 105 points, as investors are yet to react to the UN peace plan.
Specifically, the CSE general index reached 105.9 points and +0.6 per cent, while FTSE20 – influenced by the banking sector - enjoyed a new day of gains closing at 419.9 points and +1.8 per cent.
The trading volume amounted CYP 1.54 million, with Elma Holdings being the most actively traded stock of the day (17.2 per cent of the total volume) due to pre-agreed packages. ERA ended up higher 1.2 per cent to 8.7 cents. The Bank of Cyprus and the Bank of Cyprus warrants with 16.1 and 14.9 per cent of the total trading volume climbed 1.9 per cent or 3 cents and 3.5 per cent or 2 cents to CYP 1.63 and 60 cents respectively. The other volume leaders of the session were the Popular Bank and A&P Paraskevaides (Pepsi) that concentrated 8.2 and 3.9 per cent of the daily turnover respectively. Specifically, CPB recorded gains of 2.3 per cent or 3 cents to reach CYP 1.31, while APE surged 5.4 per cent to 31.1 cents.
Hadjiioannou Farm also attracted a significant investors’ interest (3.6 per cent), trading 0.8 per cent higher to 13.3 cents. The Hellenic Bank with 1.9 per cent of the turnover put on 1.2 per cent to 85 cents, while Pandora with 2.2 per cent of the daily volume finished 3.2 per cent higher at 9.8 cents.
Multichoice was among the good performers of the day, absorbing 1.2 per cent of the trading volume and closing 12.8 per cent higher at 34.5 cents.
