CSE: Strategic Plan almost ready

The CSE management is working hard for the announcement of the CSE Strategic Plan and the operation of the three new markets, CSE Council Chairman, Akis Cleanthous told StockWatch on Friday, clarifying that the bill on the introduction of the three markets is 99% ready. The final details are reviewed by the Greek expert, Dr. Demetris Tsimbanoulis and will be sent back to the CSE on Wednesday or Thursday.

Mr. Cleanthous emphasized that not only the CSE Council but also the CSE officials and staff deal exclusively – and on a daily basis – with the parameters of the Strategic Plan restructuring, such as the common platform between the CSE and the ASE, the invoice policy, the CSE Council decisions, the Mutual Funds etc.

Mr. Cleanthous expressed his concern, though, that the announcement of the Strategic Planning might coincide with the significant developments on the Cyprus issue.

“We have reached the end of a hard and demanding task. All regulations and circulars will gradually be removed. The new institutional framework will make the CSE more flexible and competitive”, Mr. Cleanthous said.

The CSE Chairman noted that the operation of the new common platform with the ASE will start in September.
