The CSE general index put on 0.7% to 104.8 points on Thursday, influenced by the banking stocks. The Bank of Cyprus added 0.8% or 2 cents to £2.51, concentrating 60.9% of the turnover. Similarly, BOC in the ASE is currently recording gains of 0.9% or 4 cents to €4.44 or £2.55.

The Popular Bank rose 0.6% to £1.69 attracting 7.3% of the volume and the Hellenic Bank surged 1.8% to 56 cents, absorbing 11.5% of the volume.

The trading volume totaled £990 thousand. FTSE and the joint ended 0.7% higher at 548.7 and 1620.6 points respectively.

Overall, 30 securities went up, 21 fell and 16 remained unchanged.
