According to the Statistical Service report on the Consumer Price Index (CPI), increases in the prices petroleum products and of certain fresh fruit and vegetables were the main cause for the CPI’s rise in June 2001. The Index rose 0,81 units to 108,67, a 0,75% increase from 107,86 units in May 2001.

The Consumer Price Index for June 2001 increased by 3% compared to its June 2000 level, while the January-June period is ahead of last years level by 1,95%.
