According to the latest data published by the Finance Ministry’s statistical service, the Consumer Price Index for November 2001decreased by 0,20 units or 0,18% to 109,87 units compared to 110,07 in October 2001. This is mainly due to decreases in the prices of certain fresh fruit and potatoes. An increase has been recorded in the prices of certain fresh vegetables.
For the period January-November 2001 the CPI recorded an increase of 1,93% compared to the corresponding period of 2000. The rate of increase of the Index for November 2001 compared to November 2000 was 2,00%.
