CPA: More executive powers for the BoD

The Cyprus Ports’ Authority demanded the submission of a draft law for the exercise of certain executive powers by the Board of Directors. According to the accompanying report, the BoD competencies concerns issues of daily performance of the Authority’s activities.
The issues concern the tender procedure, the signing of cheques issued by the Authority for the payment of its staff, other cheques for debts to third parties, granting of license to third parties for the use of the Authority’s space etc.
The draft law has already been submitted to Parliament by the Transport Ministry. It had been approved by the Council of Ministers on November 7.
