Council of Min approves Ayia Napa marina

The Council of Ministers approved on Wednesday the construction of the Ayia Napa marina. According to newspaper “Haravgi”, certain legal obstacles are currently under examination by the Attorney General and will be overcome soon.
With this decision, a land of 30 thousand sq. meters will be surrendered instead of 8,500 that it was decided at first at the area of Ayia Thecla. The project will be assigned with the Build – Operate - Transfer method except for the marina, which will be of 600 vessels capacity. It will include luxury houses and villas, restaurants, selected shops, leisure centres etc. An administrative committee has already been introduced.
