Company Law not an issue of discussion, says Superintendent

According to the Annan plan, the Company Law does not come under the jurisdiction of the Central Federal State, however, the power of intellectual rights belongs to it, Company Superintendent, Stalo Papaioannou told StockWatch on Friday, rejecting the possibility of transferring the relevant powers of the G/C constituent state to the T/C (constituent) state.
“So long as the Company Law does not come under the jurisdiction of the Central Federal State but remains to the two constituent states, it will not be an issue of discussion for the two technical committees”, Mrs. Papaioannou said.
On the question whether the T/C committee has requested the transfer of the Company Superintendent’s competencies (trade, registration documents) to the T/C constituent state, Mr. Papaioannou replied that the Company Law has never been discussed by the technical committees.
“Since the Company Law does not fall within the competencies of the Federal State, it cannot be an issue of discussion”, she noted.
StockWatch insists
StockWatch, however, insists on the information it revealed yesterday that the T/C technical committee requested the jurisdiction of the aforementioned service, despite the provisions of the Annan plan.
According to the UN Secretary General’s plan, the two constituent states will attempt to harmonize the legislations in a set of Laws, including the Company Law, the Family Law etc.
