8/7/2009 13:14
The government and the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Tourism worked and continue to work for the construction of the Ayia Napa marina within the legal framework that they could act.
In an announcement after the statements of Chairman of the House Commerce Committee, Lefteris Christoforou that the government is responsible for the obstacles, the Ministry said that “it is commonly acceptable that there are problems pointed out by the Attorney General’s legal opinions too, which must be examined and be taken into account together with some other parameters”.
“The government and the Ministry worked and will continue to work methodically within the legal framework that they could act. We will continue towards the right direction so as to give the proper solutions and be ready to start the soonest possible. Mr. Christoforou has been briefed by the Minister himself and his statements could be characterized at least as unfortunate”, the announcement concluded.
