Minister of Commerce, Industry and Tourism and Government Spokesman, Giorgos Lillikas, will fly to Lisbon on Tuesday to attend a meeting on “Microsoft Government Leaders Forum-Europe”.

According to an official announcement, Mr. Lillikas will have contacts with high-ranking officials of Microsoft such as Bill Gates and Jean-Philippe Courtois, Chairman of “Microsoft International”.

The Minister will depart at 9.40 am and will return on Thursday, February 2.

Microsoft in Cyprus

According to a “Simerini” report, “Microsoft is preparing for big investments in the island”.

“Microsoft Chairman, Bill Gates is determined to make investments in Cyprus, after a number of contacts with the Commerce Minister, Giorgos Lillikas”, the report revealed.

“The cooperation will probably cover the sectors of IT, Research and Technological Center”, the report concluded.
