Commerce Minister cancels development of “Aphrodite’s Park”

New Cyprus Commerce Minister, Giorgos Lillikas, told StockWatch that the creation of “Aphrodite” water park does not fall within the framework of his political strategy and therefore the ministry will not proceed to its development. Mr Lillikas stressed that it is not even necessary to propose the cancellation of the proposal of the former Commerce Minister, Nicos Rolandis, to the new Cabinet since there was not a governmental decision and the issue was only under examination.
Mr. Lillikas seems to abide by his views as a former Chairman of the House Environment Committee that the construction of an Aphrodite statue, as well as the construction of three hotel units in the region of ‘Petra tou Romiou” would be false.
