President of the Republic, Demetris Christofias will pay an official visit to Greece on Tuesday, Government Spokesman, Stephanos Stephanou announced today.
In his statements to journalists at the Presidential Palace, Mr. Stephanou said this is the last official visit of the President of the Republic, and as his first official visit was to Athens, so will be the last”.
"The reasons are understood. Greece is our main support, with Greece there is an excellent cooperation at all levels and in these last five years – we believe - that the relationship has been enhanced even more”, he said.
During his visit, the President will meet with the Greek President Karolos Papoulias, the Greek Prime Minister, Antonis Samaras, the President of the Greek Parliament Evangelos Meimerakis, the President of SYRIZA, Alexis Tsipras, the President of PASOK, Evangelos Venizelos, the President of the Independent Greeks, Panayiotis Kammenos, the President of the Democratic Left, Fotis Kouvelis and the General Secretary of KKE, Aleka Papariga.
“The President will return to Cyprus on Wednesday morning”, he concluded.
