Following the success of last year’s CFA Forecasting Event, the CFA Society of Cyprus is organizing the ninth Forecasting Event. The aim of this annual event is to bring together all members of the financial community to exchange views about the latest forecasts for the global and regional economies.
In the midst of the painful political and economic developments taking place in our country, we feel that we need to strengthen our voice and provide a motive for moving forward. Trust in our industry has been shuttered and it is our fiduciary duty and a duty to ourselves to start regaining trust immediately. We need to provide the new, smaller but robust, shape to our financial industry and services sector. This can only be achieved by collective effort.
The event will take place on Thursday, 18th April at Hilton Park Nicosia. It will begin at 19.00 with a networking cocktail. Presentations will begin at 20.00 and will be followed by dinner. Participation is at a fee of €20 per person. Company table bookings are also available at a fee of €160.
Registrations are accepted electronically at www.amiando.com/cfacyprus or by calling Pambos Panayiotou at 99403173, Konstantinos Leonida at 99668235 or Emilia Zachariou at 99440295.
For this year, we are honored to announce as a speaker Mr. John Calamos, founder and CEO of Calamos Investments. Mr. Calamos is amongst the wealthiest Greeks in the world, managing over $30 billion of investments. A pioneer in investment strategies and techniques to help manage risk, Mr. Calamos created a reputation for using investment techniques to control risk, preserve capital and build wealth for clients over the long term.
Mr. Calamos won the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year® award for the financial services sector, Lake Michigan Area program for 2006. He is a member of the Investment Analysts Society of Chicago. A frequent speaker at investment seminars and conferences, he has been often quoted as an authority on risk-managed investment strategies. Mr. Calamos is the author of several books and publications.
The event is under the auspices of the Ministry of Finance and will be addressed by the Minister.
