…until the presidential election

The CSE Council convention held on Thursday evening seems to have brought the CSE Chairman and the rest of the Council to reason, as the two sides of the disagreement agreed to set aside their differences for the time being, at least until the imminent presidential election.

The convention was particularly aggressive at first, as the CSE members expressed their disapproval over the recent statements of the Council Chairman, Pavlos Savvides, that there is a huge gap in the philosophy between him and the members.

It is worth mentioning that Mr. Savvides attempted to rephrase the comments he had made earlier, pointing out that “journalists had misinterpreted his statements”.

The end of the convention found the CSE members and the Chairman to agree for the present; “The relations between the Chairman and the members will remain good, as always. Disagreement is a healthy phenomenon”, they said.
