Staff of the Cyprus Electricity Authority are staging a 24-hour strike starting today, as a reaction to what their union EPOPAH describes as an unacceptable delay in the drawing up of their collective agreement. The union also reacted to the letter of the Finance Ministry concerning the budget for semi-government organisations.

During the strike, according to the union, production stations will only be manned by minimum staff and service relating to faults will be provided.

In the event where the dispute is not resolved, the union stated that additional measures will be taken.
