US Undersecretary of State for Political Affairs, Nicholas Burns, expressed his wish to visit Cyprus before the end of the year.
As the CNA reports, Mr. Burns said that he wants to see the UN make another attempt to be active on the question of Cyprus. “I have been pushing this personally with the UN, as well as with other officials of other governments and I personally believe that there should be an attempt to resolve the Cyprus question and I intend to go to Cyprus this year. I will probably go this year after the summer time”, he stated.
