The CSE general index and FTSE20 – strongly pressed by the Bank of Cyprus – have experienced significant losses today. The Bank of Cyprus, concentrating 40% of the total volume – with losses of 2.5% or 3 cents – closed at the low CYP 1.18, while during the last five sessions, BOC has accumulated losses of 8%.
The CSE index- with losses 1.1%- closed at 83.3 points, while, FTSE/CySE20 experienced losses of 1.7% and reached 324 points. Today’s volume was CYP 656 thousand, while BOC attracted CYP 257 thousand of the total volume.
Banks concentrated more than 60% of marketability. The Popular Bank (second largest turnover of the day, 15.1%) suffered considerable losses and fell to CYP 1.06%. Similarly BOCw suffered significant losses 4.7% and volume 4.2%, as well falling to 18.1 cents. The Hellenic Bank remained stable at 70 cents and 3.8% marketability.
Louis – with 6.7% marketability and gains of 0.8% - closed at 13.4 cents. Phil Andreou with 4% of the turnover fell by –2.2% and closed at 13.1 cents, while Hadjiioannou Farm with 5.4% rise and 3.6% of the volume climbed to 97 cents. Finally, A. Panayides – with turnover 2.8% and gains of 3.4% reached 45.5 cents.
