Commercial banks will open tomorrow following the end of a week-long dispute between the Bankers Employers' Association and the bank employees trade union ETYK.
Mediation by the Ministry of Labour and Social Insurance left both sides to the dispute satisfied, after it said that one had violated an existing agreement and the other the code of industrial relations.
ETYK has lifted the overtime ban at the computer services in one of the two largest banks and the Association lifted strike measures for Friday it had announced earlier.
The two sides stated on Thursday afternoon they are pleased with the mediation of the Ministry of Labour and Social Insurance, which put an end to a problematic week in the banking sector.
However, they still have to negotiate the renewal of the collective agreement that governs their relations.
