Bank of Cyprus becomes the first bank to attain ISO certification for all its International Business Units (IBUs) around Cyprus

Adherence to Internationally Recognised ISO Standards Verifies Bank of Cyprus Commitment to Quality and Customer Satisfaction
Bank of Cyprus International Banking Services (IBS), the Division providing banking and other financial services to the international clientele of the Bank, announced that Cyprus Certification Company, an official accreditation body for ISO 9001 standards, granted Bank of Cyprus International Banking Services and its branches, the International Business Units (IBUs), ISO 9001:2008 certification for their quality management systems (QMS).
"ISO 9001:2008 certification is an important milestone for Bank of Cyprus IBS and IBUs and validates our commitment to delivering the highest quality of service that our clients have come to expect," said Mr Louis Pochanis, Senior Manager, International Banking Services at Bank of Cyprus. "The quality management system implemented provides assurance to our clients that we will continue our long tradition of developing and providing products and services of the highest quality."
"Throughout the certification process, Bank of Cyprus IBS and IBUs did an outstanding job implementing and adhering to the rigorous requirements specified by the ISO 9001:2008 standards," said Maria Demosthenous, Business Performance Principal, of KPMG ISO consulting team. "Bank of Cyprus's certified quality management systems bolster their continued commitment to customer service, reliability, and leading products and services."
The certification covers the provision of banking and other financial services to non residents of Cyprus and to corporations with international operations, at each of the IBUs of the Bank in Nicosia, Limassol, Larnaca and Paphos. It also covers the management and support of the IBUs centrally at IBS, as well as the provision of support to the Representative Offices of the Bank around the world.
