Together… we volunteer for the benefit of Large Families
In line with the Corporate Social Responsibility policy of Alpha Bank and in order to cultivate and promote sensitivity on social and environmental issues to all Group Employees, the last Sunday of May has been established, since 2009, as “ALPHA BANK VOLUNTEER DAY”.
On Sunday, May 29th, 2011, Alpha Bank Cyprus organized an initiative of social sensitivity and action for those in need, by volunteering for the benefit of large families. In cooperation with the Cyprus Association of Friends of Large Families, small groups of Alpha Bank volunteers visited large families in need throughout Cyprus, and provided moral and material support by offering groceries and other necessities on behalf of all Alpha Bank staff.
The staff’s involvement in the project was invaluable from the voluntary contribution of the groceries to putting together the teams that visited the families in need. Everyone’s active participation and the sensitivity with which similar actions were undertaken reflect the social responsibility applied in Alpha Bank Group and promote team effort and collaboration.
On the same day, similar actions of a social and environmental context took place in Greece and all the other countries in which the Group operates, such as Romania, Serbia, Albania, Bulgaria, FYROM and Ukraine.
