The Central Tenders Board yesterday published the short list of the five international consortia bidding for the construction of the Larnaca and Paphos airports. The bids are for the Built-Operate-Transfer method and will carry an estimated cost of CYP 200 million.
The short listed consortia are Cyprus Gateway Airports with Airport Consulting Vienna, a consortium led by J&P with the British Airport Authority, Hermes Airports with Aer Rianta International, Project Pegasus with Cintra Concesiones de intraestructuras and Alterra Consortium which includes Manchester and Singapore Changi Airports. All consortia are backed by major Cypriot companies.
The publication of the winning tender is expected before the end of the current year.
