The 3-hour strike of the air traffic controllers in Greece today will affect seven flights, four departures and three arrivals to and from the Larnaca International Airport.
In his statements, Airport Spokesman, Adamos Aspris said that “unfortunately, the 3-hour strike in Greece is expected to affect the flight schedule to and from Larnaca International Airport. The strike is scheduled to begin at 10 am and will end at 1.00 pm in the afternoon”.
“According to the Operations Centre of Hermes Airports, seven flights will be affected; four departures and three arrivals. Of these, two flights are canceled, while the remaining five will be held at different times”.
“All cases concern flights from and to the airports of Athens and Thessaloniki. Overall, 1,000 passengers will be affected”.
“The public is informed that the affected airlines have already reformed their flight schedule. For this purpose, all interested parties are encouraged to contact directly their airlines and travel agents before their arrival at Larnaca International Airport. The flight schedule of the Paphos International Airports seems that it is not affected so far”, he concluded.
