The double upgrade of the Republic of Cyprus’ credit rating to A3 by Moody’s reflects the strengthening of the fundamental indicators of the economy, Governor of the Central Bank of Cyprus (CBC), Christodoulos Patsalides, said in a written statement.
“This upgrade acquires even greater value in the current context of increased geopolitical risks and uncertainty,” he noted.
“Cyprus, as a small and open economy, must always ensure the further expansion of its productive base, for the improvement of its competitiveness, and the implementation of responsible public economic policies,” Patsalides concluded.
