Consumer satisfaction reached 94.44% in 2023 as regards its case-handling services, Cyprus’ European Consumer Centre (ECC) said in its annual report.

Specifically, it said, during 2023, it handled a total of 606 information requests and 710 cross-border complaints, “marking a significant 33% increase compared to 2022.”

“Approximately 65% of queries and cases were successfully resolved, in collaboration with other ECCs, achieving satisfactory out-of-court settlements for the parties involved”, it adds.

“Noteworthy is the consumer satisfaction level with the case-handling services of ECC Cyprus, which reached 94.44%”, the report notes, adding that “these consistently high satisfaction levels represent a long-standing achievement of the Centre”.

It adds that, over 710 primary school students benefited from its "Safe Online Shopping" education programme, while that ECC Cyprus staff participated in TV and radio broadcasts to inform the public about their rights, focusing particularly on air travel and online shopping issues.
