Greece was the second most expensive EU country as regards communication prices in 2019, striking the 175 PPS mark in the 27 member states list, according to Eurostat, the statistical service of the EU.
In 2019, communication prices across the European Union (EU) were almost five times as high in the most expensive EU Member State than in the cheapest one.
When price levels in countries are compared with the EU average price level index of 100, the results show that in 2019, communication prices were highest in Belgium (with a price level index of 176) and Greece (175 in 2019 up from 154.5 in 2018 ), followed by Ireland (150) and Luxembourg (149).
In contrast, communication price levels in 2019 were lowest in Romania (with a price level index of 38) and Poland (51), followed by Lithuania (71), Bulgaria (76) and Latvia (77).
Ιn Cyprus the average price was at 110.8 in 2019 up from 90.5% in 2018.
