Cypriot consumers are satisfied with the fixed broadband access market, according to the Eurobarometer.
According to a press release, the EU DG Connect published recently a report with the results of the Eurobarometer that was conducted between November 20 - December 21, 2020, with the title «E-Communications in the Single Market», according to which 85% of Cypriot consumers are very or quite satisfied with the download speed they have at home. The satisfaction rate is by 4 points higher than the EU average and Cyprus ranks 11th in the EU.
According to the Eurobarometer, 85% of Cypriot consumers are very or quite satisfied with the upload speed they have at home. The satisfaction rate is by 3 points higher than the EU average and Cyprus ranks 13th among the 27 EU states.
Moreover, it notes that the Covid-19 pandemic has led only 5% of Cypriot consumers to make changes to their fixed broadband access connection at home. This percentage is among the lowest in the European Union and below the European average of 7%.
The Cyprus Office of Electronic Communications & Postal Regulations (OCECPR) has welcomed the results of the Eurobarometer, noting that they highlight the positive image that consumers have as regards fixed broadband access services, adding that it remains committed to ensuring the quality of its services to consumers.
