Andreas Petsas named new CEO of Eurobank Cyprus

Eurobank Cyprus’ Board of Directors, decided to appoint Andreas Petsas as a Member of the Board of Directors and as the Bank’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO), in a meeting held on September 17th in Nicosia.

Eurobank Cyprus says in a press release that Petsas started his career in the banking sector in 1997, at Laiki Bank where he held various managerial positions in Corporate Banking. In 2006-2007, he served as Deputy General Manager and member of the Executive Council of Laiki Bank Serbia. He joined Eurobank Cyprus in 2007, taking over as General Manager of Corporate Banking, while before his appointment as CEO he held the role of Senior General Manager.

It is also noted that Petsas holds a BSc in Business, Finance and Economics from the University of East Anglia and an MSc in Accounting and Finance from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). He is also registered in the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission’s Public Register of Certified Persons as an Advanced Certification holder.

Andreas Petsas succeeds Michalis Louis, who served as the CEO of Eurobank Cyprus ever since its establishment in 2007 until 2024.
