The public sector currently has the ability to absorb 1918 Cyta employees and hourly paid staff in several positions which are still vacant, if they would accept to move to the public service by secondment instead of working at Cyta Ltd.
According to a report acquired by StockWatch, which was prepared by the department of administration and personnel and was given to the leaderships of trade unions, there are 1442 vacancies in the public sector for permanent staff and 476 vacancies for hourly paid employees of Cyta, if they accept the option of secondment in the public sector.
The organization currently employs 1649 permanent employees and 596 hourly-paid staff and the government gives them the right to remain state employees even when they will be working for Cyta private company.
The administration and personnel department comprehensively lists all job vacancies across the spectrum of the public service, that could employ Cyta employees with all their acquired rights.
