Construction Materials prices continued rising in February

Cyprus Price Index of Construction Materials continued its upward trend in February reflecting the increased cost incurred by contractors

According to data released by the Statistical Service of Cyprus (Cystat), the Index in Materials for February 2022 reached 122,92 units (base year 2015=100), recording an increase of 1,44% compared to the previous month and an increase of 17.39% compared with the respective period of last year.

By main commodity category, increases were recorded in metallic products 27.15%, products of wood, insulation materials, chemicals and plastics with 19.88%, electromechanical products with 15.82%, mineral products with 7.20% and minerals 5.88%.
