CSE agreement with GXG Markets

16/04/2015 16:35
The CSE signed an agreement with GXG Markets within the framework of its strategic plan for the promotion of collaboration between Securities’ Exchanges.

According to the announcement, in this context it has been agreed to implement a procedure of mutual co-operation, initially to promote dual / parallel listings on the GXG Main Quote Market and the ECM Market of the Cyprus Stock Exchange.

“The two Exchanges aim to develop a cooperation towards their mutual benefit, offering a wider range of options to listed companies and to other market participants, with flexible and effective procedures, always within the framework of legislation and the relevant EU Directives and based on competitive fees. The aim is to gradually improve and enrich this agreement and to achieve synergies towards the direction of obtaining the optimum implementation of this agreement, based on the experience to be gained”.

This agreement offers the opportunity to listed companies to obtain a parallel listing in another recognized market, with simplified procedures and competitive fees, enabling their access to the liquidity that exists in each market.

Issuers with securities listed on the Cyprus Stock Exchange which are interested in dual listing on GXG Markets, will receive access to a recognised market at a low cost and a wider range of investors. 35 Members operate actively at GXG Markets, a considerable number of which is also operating in other markets of the EU such as the London Stock Exchange (LSE), offering significant liquidity in the market. Furthermore, issuers with securities listed on the GXG Main Quote which are interested in dual listing on the Cyprus Stock Exchange, will benefit from the multiple and flexible services that CSE offers at a low cost (in addition to the Trading System and Listing Services, CSE also offers the services of a Central Registry/ Depository), as well as a considerable number of local Members, Remote Members, and International Custodians.

It is clarified that this Agreement does not in any way affect the close cooperation that the Cyprus Stock Exchange has established over the years with the Athens Exchange Group (ATHEX GROUP), with an agreement in the framework of the Common Platform.

GXG Markets (www.gxgmarkets.com) is a licensed Stock Exchange and is supervised by the Danish Financial Supervisory Authority. GXG Markets operates a European Regulated Market, the GXG Official List, as well as two Multilateral Trading Facilities: the GXG First Quote and the GXG Main Quote.
