Angelos Gregoriades has become the new Chairman in KPMG after a unanimous decision by the partners. According to the announcement, Mr. Gregoriades succeeded Mr. Nicos Syrimis, who during his 15th terms of office as Chairman represented worthily KPMG in all bodies and activities while he played an important role in the effort of all partners to establish KPMG as a leading professional service provider in Cyprus.
Mr. Syrimis, who was unanimously declared Honorary Chairman of KPMG Cyprus, title to be valid until retirement, thanked the partners and staff for their contribution to his successful 15-year tenure.
Mr. Gregoriades is a senior partner and Head of Tax and Corporate services of KPMG in Cyprus. Our main concern is to strengthen Cyprus as a trusted financial center and to support efforts for quick exit from the crisis. Alongside, KPMG Cyprus will continue and strengthen its social role and environmental protection policies”.

Mr. Christofides thanked the partners for his re-election and stressed the importance given by KPMG Cyprus in human resource as the driving force of success. Reviewing the past three years, Mr. Christofides said KPMG managed - despite the difficult environment - to increase its activities in all sectors, further strengthening its market position. “Our main advantage," said Mr. Christofides “is the strong relationship of trust and cooperation with the KPMG clients. Our primary goal for the next three years is to further develop and support our staff in order to provide all possible assistance to our customers, always high quality standards, so as to meet the challenges of the current economic environment and to lay the groundwork for their own development. This - in fact - is one of the strategic objectives of KPMG”.
