Cyprus` Police handed out in the past 24 hours fines to 10 individuals and 1 business owner or manager found to violate the measures against the further spread of COVID-19.
According to a Police spokesperson, a total of 1,926 checks were carried out in all districts. In Nicosia, 558 checks were carried out, during which 3 persons were booked and 1 business was fined €1,500, for allowing entrance to a customer without a safe pass.
In Limassol, 2 individuals were booked during 125 checks. No reports came out of 402 checks in Larnaca, 118 in Pafos and 91 in Morphou. In Famagusta, 3 individuals were booked, after 338 checks.
The Traffic Department carried out 56 checks, while another 36 were carried out by he Port and Marine Police but no violations were recorded.
