Euro area annual inflation is expected to be 0.9% in February 2021, stable compared to January, according to a flash estimate from Eurostat, the statistical office of the European Union.
Looking at the main components of euro area inflation, food, alcohol & tobacco is expected to have the highest annual rate in February (1.4%, compared with 1.5% in January), followed by services (1.2%, compared with 1.4% in January), non-energy industrial goods (1.0%, compared with 1.5% in January) and energy (-1.7%, compared with -4.2% in January).
In Cyprus inflation is expected to be -0.9% in February, compared to -0.8% in January, while a year earlier it was 1.0%. In Greece is expected to be -1.9 in February, compared to -2.4% in January, while a year ago it was 0.4%.
