Press: CSE cuts and new DISY-government dispute

22/09/2003 08:59
The major issues in today’s financial press are the change of the CSE building that falls within the framework of the new CSE policy and the dispute between the government and the opposition party DISY on the semi-state organizations.

The “Economy” inset of newspaper “Phileleftheros” under the title “CSE: Change of building and staff cuts by the end of 2003” reports that the CSE Council Chairman has decided to submit a conservatory budget for 2004. According to the report, the Council has elaborated a number of alternative solutions, which are: a) the construction of a new building based on realistic needs, b) the acquisition of a building, c) the stay in the same building with the use of fewer rooms, d) renting another building.

The newspaper “Simerini” refers to the dispute between the government and the right-wing Democratic Rally Party DISY on the privatization of the semi-governmental organizations and the reduced governmental participation in the state organizations.

The newspaper “Alithia” does not contain a financial inset.
